90210 was always one of those so-bad shows that it was totally, totally good. Sort of like eating a bowl of Captain Crunch. So good while you are chowing down but your teeth hurt for days afterwards. A guilty pleasure.
I mean, what’s not to love about bratty rich kids? I kind of lost interest when they all started hitting the college years but after all, nothing that bad/good lasts forever.
And now we have a whole new 90210 coming on The CW scene — with all new brats and all new issues. And of course, we have to ask — what stars from the old show will cross over? I mean, if you are lucky enough to grow up in Beverly Hills and live in one of those big ‘ole mansions would you ever want to leave? Not if you’re superficial and have plenty of charge cards you wouldn’t.
Anyway, my TV pals Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling will be part of the new line-up. I think Jennie’s going to be play a guidance counselor at West Beverly High (yawn — a little too boring for lovely Jennie) and Tori — well, you just knew she’d be too cool to stay in school. She’s the owner of one of the trendiest retail spots in town — sort of like a really hot Arnold from Happy Days if that makes sense. You know, Arnold’s was the place where everybody wanted to see and be seen and Tori (Donna Martin) will be seeing a lot of cast members plunkin’ down the plastic – just you wait.
